Family Gathering

It was quite warm and everybody were in the water now and I believe this lady decided it was too early to go to the bank.

One afternoon at Asry Beach

Last Saturday, we went to Asry beach near Juffair Port last Saturday (I hope my data is right, please correct me any Bahraini readers) recommended by some friends who had been there. A few minutes ride from where I am living as it is located nearby Juffair, just few minutes passed the big Bridge of Juffair Port.

There is a mosque nearby, some cold stores, allocated areas for the children with swings and playground and some gazebos for shades. It was quite a warm late afternoon and we all were looking forward to jump to the sea.

Upon arrival, we saw that there are already some crowds there; families, children, some youths swimming, making sand castle or just enjoying the late warm sunset.

The beach sign seems in need of renovation as the letters are mostly faded and unreadable.

Waiting for Sunset

This is the photo of the beach side infront Isa Cultural Center which is also adjacent to Grand Mosque Al Fateh. The water level during the day time until late afternoon near Sunset is always low as you can see in this picture. In a couple hour after sunset, this ground will be filled with seawater.

Some families, youngster, couples and joggers always come here and wait to see the sunset. It was a windy day and I was almost finishing my jogging trek. The sunset was not really pretty as it was very foggy due to the current sandstorm season. The breeze of fresh sea air was was very mind calming and I promise to myself that I will come here on my every joffing trek.

A Watch House or An Island Fort?

Today's photo is another shot of an old fort with a beautiful beach shot. I guess so!!! (I posted the similar photo yesterday but this one has a wider shot. Do not you agree with me that this one looks more sentimentally touching?LOL). There is always a question nagging in my mind everytime I am looking at this picture and wondering wether the old building is a fort or a watch house.

Anyone know more about Old Fort in Middle East? Well I might be doing some research later on Wiki or some googling later. Will keep you guys updated. Cheers!
