@ Brad, you were just not in the right mosque I presume or at the right time? :). Mostly, they would allow you to take picture of a masjid's interior as long as you don't treat it as a mere touristic object. There's a certain rule when entering a masjid that everybody must obey. Try it again someday. Peace.
@Brad, I am sorry to know that you have such a bad experience ={. Probably, the mosque that you wanted to enter was under a quite restricted managed one and probably (I guess you were not properly clothed that time, that was why you were not allowed to enter) As what I understand , most Indonesians are welcoming non-muslim to see inside the mosque, Well perhaps next time, when you are in Indonesia and I was too, Just give me a shout and I would give you the tour of your life. hehe
Hi welcome to my DP blog! I am an Indonesian living and working in Bahrain, the smallest Arab nation in the Gulf. Despite the harsh weather and unfriendly dry landscape, living in Bahrain is quite nice. There are Malls, the city Shouks, Parks and Historical places we can visit. Most pictures are taken with digital camera and sometime with cell phone and some are donated from good friends. They might not be in their best result and capacity but feel free and be generous to give your comment! Halah :P

Thank you for sharing. When I was in Indonesia, I tried to take a picture inside a mosque, but they would not allow me.
