6 More Days to Our Race

Within a week time we will be having the biggest sporting even in the Gulf Region. I believe that this is my first F1 photo serial. Eventually I took this photo when I was at the airport last night. With the massive advertising in every corner of Bahrain, we can see that everybody is warmly welcoming and looking forward for the event and here is one of the giant poster. I also quoted the article written at Bahrain GP official site as in the following;

"There are only six days left on the calendar until the Middle East sees the biggest international sporting event of the year come back to the Kingdom of Bahrain for the fifth time at the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2008"

One Late Afternoon in Juffair

One quiet afternoon near Juffair area, when the taxi I was in stopped at anothe rlong traffic qeue. I saw some children playing football. The children looked a bit blurry in a distance. I did not want tot ake my risk to zoom and capture as my pocket camera could not handle it. So be it then!

Well most children love football. No matter where you are, you will always see some children playing football in anywhere they could play it. No matter what the ball is going to look like, made of paper roll into a ball or . Well some children are very creative. I love football. I remember when I was young, spent hours and hours in the shiftmade football field; on the street, the dry paddy's field, even inside the house which always drove my sisters and mom upsetted! What a memory!

Do you like Football?

Have a nice Wednesday Everybody!!

Fudruckers Corner

This is one of the fast food restaurant chain in Bahrain, Fudruckers! I have been there once but since I am not really a junkfood fan, that will be the only trip I ever make there, unless there is a certain exception.

What Is Behind The Abandoned Door?

I always pass this house when going to the small shop near my apartment, no light in the street and only the light from the garage telling me that the owner is at home.
Walking in the dark street at late evening is a bit goosebumpy! Looking at the abandoned gate makes me wondering where these people are working? Are they local or a foreigner like me trying to find our fortune in Bahrain? Most houses in new area are built like this.

Well Happy Friday Everybody!!!

The Garden at the Car Park

This is a beautiful garden at the center part of the parking area at Seef Mall. Its well groomed trees and the massive concrete Gazebo add the touch for the boring parking area.

Busy Tuesday at Seef Mall

This is the shot of Seef Mall at Seef area :P, actually it is just closeby to Sanabis. It is a walking distance actually. We went there yesterday and It took 5 to 10 minutes driving around to find an empty spot. It is still amaze me at how difficult to find a parking spot for the car. It is Tuesday and it is not supposed to be busy!!!
Well I presume that everybody want to be in the Mall today!
How is your Tuesday Everybody??

Sunset at Sanabis

This beautiful sunset that I will remember for many years to come.

Well as expected the price is just like at the other Hard Rock Cafe. Phufff I do not think I am going to come back there soon.
Well Have a nice day then everybody! Tomorrow I will be posting another picture taken from that trip.

Hard Rock Cafe

Here is the entrance shot of Hard Rock Cafe at Exhibition Road in Manama. I believe that Bahrain does want want to leave behind to catch up with Dubai and other Cosmo Cities in Gulf, we have one here too!! I went there with a friend from Indonesia who was looking for T-Shirt with Bahrain Hard Rock Cafe word in it. Voila !!! Her wishes is granted, she got a few new T-Shirt now!

The place is very nice with friedly staffs and great displays. You guys should go there if you happen to be in Bahrain. Most customers I saw there were European, American and some English speaking Saudis. Hmm

Thai Beach Restaurant at Manama Downtown

When you are away from home, you always have a craving for a homemade cooking food that are fresh and something to ease and help you away from the homesickness. It is funny to think that when you were at home and take everything for granted and when being away, suddenly you want this and that and will do anything to get it. I also realize that having more than 40 numbers of my countrymen working in the same company make my living away from home is a little harder as they do remind me a lot about home and family.

Bahrain is not the first overseas attachment since I join the company. I have been blessed to be able to work in many places and meeting some wonderful, interesting and lovely people at work. Well I believe that most of you who work as an expat know this kind of experience. What a bless huh?

Anyway, some friends and I decided we need to go out to eat somewhere and decision was made. We were going to Thai restaurant because the dishes are the closest one to our taste buds. We went to Thai Beach Restaurant. LOL again I forget where it is located but the best part of this trip out is, the food is fantastic and low price (just 1 Dinar for each type of dishes)! They even do Free Home Delivery and here is the number if you happen just arrive in Bahrain + 973 17277756. Go get it! you won't be dissapointed.

If you want to know about Thai Food, at Wikipedia here will give your further info and if you want to know how to prepare Thai cuisine you can go here at one of my favorite Thai sites.

Enjoy your search!!

DP Theme Day - The Grafitti or Street Mural

This is the only mural that I have on my archive (what a shame, all the works!! I should go out more) and frankly I had posted this mural here in August 2007. I hope you could notice the different between these 2 posts. Today's posting is longer. On the far left part, you could see the additional picture of boats and some workers unloading and loading stuffs. It was the depiction of the Dilmun era in Bahraini coast, a far away time before the coming of Christian and Islam.

Have a nice weekend all!
