Today's photo is a shot of a couple of Harley Davidson bikers that I took when I was on the way to go to work earlier today. This is the second photo that I am posting during March on Harley Davidson, though the earlier one was only about the street ads featuring the new Harley Davidson store in Bahrain in this posting here. I would also like to share with every visitors here about an interesting posting about Harley Davidson by a DP fellow in Bandung, Indonesia Eki here, compared to his explanation about HD, mine is too pale away from it. Enjoy then!
Let me share you the facts I found about Harley-Davidson Owners Group in Bahrain as in below.
Originally it was established as the Harley Owners Group in 1983 in response to a growing desire by Harley riders for an organized way to share their passion and show their pride. By 1985, 49 local chapters had sprouted around the United States, with a total membership of 60,000.
Rapid growth continued into the 1990s, and in 1991 H.O.G. officially went international, with the first official European H.O.G. Rally in Cheltenham, England. Worldwide membership numbered 151,600, with 685 local chapters. As the '90s continued, H.O.G. hysteria spread into Asia, including new chapters in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. By 1999, worldwide membership had hit the half-million mark, and the number of local chapters totalled 1,157. Today, more than 750,000 members make H.O.G. the largest factory-sponsored motorcycle organization in the world and it shows absolutely no signs of slowing down.
Locally, there are Chapters in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Lebanon and Kuwait and following the opening of the new dealership, we now have our own Chapter here in Bahrain. The first meeting of the Bahrain Chapter was held on 3 October 2003. For further information, please go here to the H.O.G official Bahrain website.
