Florist and Garden Nursery at Jidhaf

Earlier today, we were driving around Jidhaf area to find the seed feed for my hamsters and upon leaving the petshop, we eventually spotted a big florist shop and the garden nursery just a few shops away. Excitingly, we stopped by and wander around to look at the display and the nursery. Dian, the flower lover, insisted on checking on each display, new pots and even we went further to the end display leading to the nursery.

I could not get the name of the shop as I took the photos with my cellphone and since it was already dark, I did not make it to take the entrance shot nor the shop's name. Sigh!

Anyway, when we went inside we were quite awe by the collection they have there. Though I could not recall the names in English but they are quite big variety available. In the picture above, Dian and Adi were looking at the display fresh flower in pots. The bright yellow of the Chrysantemum is really a sight for the sore eyes. Please mind me, the weather is changing now in Bahrain and everything looks dusty due to the many sandstorm and we are so lucky to be able to look at these colourful flowers.

At the back part of the shop, there is a connecting door to the nursery. It is quite a big garden nursery and I notice that they have great varieties of tropical flowers which remind me a lot of home. they also display some bird baths for a graden lover view.

These green leaves of this pine tree (hmmm I do not what it is called :P) makes me feel I am in New Zealand forest now!

Nevertheless, though we were not buying anything but we enjoyed the trip to this nursery, We might want to visit it again and I should be able to take a decent shots then.

Have a nice Tuesday then everybody!

Mosque Series # 07 Masjid at Lulu Road, Jidhaf

My best friend Adi and Dian bought a second hand car a few days back and it seemed that it needed some services, cleaning up and even changing some accessories. So someone from the hotel gave him a recommendation for a car garage at Jidhaf area at Lulu road. We went there and waited for a couple of hours. I found that watching someone repairing a car not that interesting though I grew up with this similar view all my life back in Indonesia (My late father had a garage back home and eventually run a car garage at home). I got bored and I started venturing outside of the place. a couple of meters away, I saw a mosque and by seeing the architectural buildings and the posters sticking on the wall. I know that it belongs to the Shi'a community. I could not get the whole shot of the mosque as the road was quite narrow and in the end I could not get the top of the minaret. Down below another shot of the mosque with a clear shot of the street around it.

Sunrise in Juffair

This morning, as usual I woke up at 4.45 am for my morning pray. Later on at 5.15 someting, when opening the window curtain of my bedroom, suddenly I remember that I have not taken any sunrise view in Juffair. I grabbed my cell phone and leaned out from the window frame and I shot the first shot of the street below. Though, it was still dark, we still could see that the street was still sleeping, only one car was passing by.
I turned my eyes to the view in front of me. I could see that the sky was quite bright. There was the orange colouring in the right side and I believe that the sun would rise now. Snapped!! I took my second shot of the day.

I looked on my right side and I saw these beautiful colour composition of rainbow. Quite a beautiful day to start my new day.

Have a nice Thursday then!

Yesterday, during my morning walk I took this shot of American Naval Base near my flat area. It is a walking distance actually and only in the corner street where I am living. It was not really clear shot as I was just being cautious and not sure if I could get closer. I saw there was a check-point on the entrance and all of them are soldiers in civilian clothes. Well I guess this shot will tell more to you all readers.

Suddenly, I am just feeling so lazy and almost shout to the driver "Baya (Uncle in Hindi), Please stop here! I am not feeling that I want to go to work today, pleazzzzzzzzze stop!!!"

LOL Wrong!!!!!!! I was not shouting the word to him nor asked him to stop but just continued grumbling softly and slowly wishpered to myself "What a beautiful day to just spend in the office" (LOL I forgot to type the NOT word earlier, MY BAD!!!)

Two Faces of Bahrain Weather

Today I am going to share about the weather in Bahrain. From the photo above taken in the early morning where you could see that there was a dark cloud in the sky and the wind blew a bit chilly and cold. As I mentioned on earlier posting here that the low pressure system in the area cause the changing of weather and lots of rainfalls. Then later on the day, after getting off the bus from work, I saw that the sky clear out and the beautiful cloud is back as in the picture below.
This photo was just taken from a slight different spot in front of my apartment. How amazing is not it?

Blue Sky Behind The Trees

In the last few days, the weather had changed in Bahrain. I am feeling that the weather is a lot cooler now, escpecially in the evening. Last two evenings, there were dark cloud in the sky. It will be lots of rain this Autumn and Winter. These are the most waiting seasons in Bahrain.

Yup, Most of us might think that there is no way that there wil be rain in Bahrain as what most people would assume about the weather in Bahrain; being located in Middle East and all. So let me explain about the climate in Bahrain.

The best time to be around in Bahrain is during the period of spring or autumn. The climate is indeed pleasant during this time with the warmth of the sun and the gentle breeze around. And this is very evident at the end of the season. In fact, it gets extremely humid at times becoming quite unbearable. Besides, the local bahrainis even call a dry northwesterly wind as "Al Barah".

However, the winters are not only cool but they are also accompanied by rainfall. The low-pressure systems (what is low pressure system? please go here at Wiki), which are created in most area in Bahrain influence the weather change in Bahrain during the winters. The strangest part about Bahrain climate is that the winters down here produce much of rains. Surprise, is not it? I can not wait to see and take the first rain shot.

DP Theme - Books "Tuesdays with Morrie"

Reading is always my number one hobby to do during my spare time. I start to pick up this habbit since I was at college. Firstly, it was just as part of semester assignment as I was rolling at advance education for language college and majoring in English, gradually I became addicted with reading and later on, it becomes part of my life.

Through the times, I am not picky at what I am reading, I can enjoy an historical books, novel or romance but it does not stop me reading some suspense, thriller or even autobiographical journals. Starting by reading, the hobby evolves into collecting. Some favourite books or novel, I would keep for my personal collection in order to make my own library. The collections have grown into some hundred numbers. Since I was a little boy at Elementary, I was always fascinated with cultures from other countries. When travelling into another country, I always buy a book about its cultures and natures, like shown on the above picture. Considering the sizes, I would be in trouble on packing up back to Indoland later.

Yesterday, I just finished reading "Tuesdays with Morrie" by American writer Mitch Albom. I believe that most of you already read this best selling memoir. A deeply touching real life story between a teacher, a student and the life's greatest lesson.
