The Green Oasis at Al Areen
Today, I am posting a photo that I took earlier today at 4 pm. It is an oasis located just so close to our resort.
Here is the whole story; I was bored and tired in my office and I remembered that a few weeks ago while passing the road to the resort I saw a glimpse of this oasis from the hills on the left side of Oryx Hill and promised to myself that oneof these days I am going to walk out of the office, passed through the spa reception, then up to the resort entrance, further up to the rocky hill and go down hill to get closer to the oasis. I did it today and tomorrow the follow up photos will be posted with more stories.
I enjoyed the walk down the rocky hills and I wish everybody to have a nice day TODAY!

a 500 Fills Shops at Jidhaf Shops
Today's photo is taken from my Archive as the work become a bit hectic and the weather turns out really cold now which make me unable to take photo recently. So today's photo is about the shop of many found at Lulu road at Jidhaf area. These shops sell variety of stuffs such as accesories, stickers, ceramics aan even clothes range which are imported from China and many countries. The interesting fact is this shop mostly sell items at one price. So this one particular one price shop sell items at 500 fills (for one Bahraini dinars you will have 1000 fills). The trick to tell the 500 fills item from other item is that if you do not see any price tag nor label in it, the items must be 500 fills.

Eid ul Adha, The Festival of Sacrifice
Eid ul Adha is a religious festival celebrated by muslims worldwide in commemoration of the willingness of prophet Ibrahim or Abraham to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God. The devil tempted Ibrahim by saying he should disobey God and spare his son. As Ibrahim was about to sacrifice his son, God intervened and instead provided a lamb as the sacrifice. This is why today all over the world Muslims who have the means to, sacrifice an animal (usually a goat or a sheep), as a reminder of Ibrahim's obedience to God. The meat is then shared out with family, friends (Muslims or non-Muslims), as well as the poor members of the community.

Florist and Garden Nursery at Jidhaf
I could not get the name of the shop as I took the photos with my cellphone and since it was already dark, I did not make it to take the entrance shot nor the shop's name. Sigh!
Anyway, when we went inside we were quite awe by the collection they have there. Though I could not recall the names in English but they are quite big variety available. In the picture above, Dian and Adi were looking at the display fresh flower in pots. The bright yellow of the Chrysantemum is really a sight for the sore eyes. Please mind me, the weather is changing now in Bahrain and everything looks dusty due to the many sandstorm and we are so lucky to be able to look at these colourful flowers.
At the back part of the shop, there is a connecting door to the nursery. It is quite a big garden nursery and I notice that they have great varieties of tropical flowers which remind me a lot of home. they also display some bird baths for a graden lover view.
These green leaves of this pine tree (hmmm I do not what it is called :P) makes me feel I am in New Zealand forest now!
Nevertheless, though we were not buying anything but we enjoyed the trip to this nursery, We might want to visit it again and I should be able to take a decent shots then.
Have a nice Tuesday then everybody!
